FMRRA Round 4 is pulling a double race weekend at Palm beach International Raceway!
FMRRA: Florida Motorcycle Road Racing Association
Round 4: Palm Beach International Raceway
February 9, 10 Due to flooding conditions at PBIR during the Round 3 race schedule, the full race schedule will be run on the Saturday of February 9, 10 race weekend. With perfect weather expected, we are expecting some race battles across all the classes. Former overall FMRRA amateur champion and now national competitor Max Angles is questionable for this weekend’s races after a training accident on his Supermotard left him with a fracture on his middle finger on his throttle hand. Max had set the fastest qualifying lap of 1:17.879 during the abbreviated January race weekend.
Pirelli piloted Sean (D-wire) Dwyer on the newly formed Black Ops Racing team is leading the expert overall championship over last year’s champion Seth Starnes with Hurricane Racing and Dunlop and young upstart Christian Miranda on Pirelli’s with West Side Racing. Seth Starnes is slowly coming back after a hard crash during a wet qualifying session during December Round two race weekend.
Dustin Richards has a strong lead in the amateur overall championship. New contender Mario Gonzalez second in the amateur championship was involved in a tragic street crash involving an SUV recently. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mario and his family during his recovery.
